Collette has several work experiences to match her diverse talents. She is an innkeeper, professional organizer, multi-faceted designer: floral arrangements, interior spaces, theatrical costumes. Living in Chester, Vermont she is enthusiastically putting all of these skills to work.
One of those includes being Manager of Williams River House – an elegant bed and breakfast in Chester, Vermont. They host individuals, couples, weddings, corporate events, special occasions and celebrations. Collette helps maintain the property inside and out, schedules reservations, facilitates event preparation, is their bookkeeper, frequent floral designer and also an enthusiastic cook and server.
Organizing has always been one of Collette’s innate abilities. She has used that intuition to help others make their own spaces more efficient. Everything from attics to barns, small and large office spaces, home offices, basements, garages, closets, gardens and more – Collette is passionate about working WITH her clients to improve their environments. She is a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers and is working toward certification.
Hailing from the mid-west, Collette grew up in Wisconsin, pursuing undergraduate studies at University of Wisconsin, Green Bay and earned her Masters of Fine Arts in Costume Design from Western Illinois University. She spent many years working in regional theatres around the country, honing her crafts at places such as the Santa Fe Opera, Goodspeed Opera House, Merrimack Repertory Theatre and North Shore Music Theatre.
For the better part of 13 years she called Salem, Massachusetts home, continuing her costuming work while discovering another passion: floral design. She had the good fortune of training with the incredibly talented Pauline Runkle at Floral Artistry, arranging flowers for elegant, high-end weddings and major corporate events. Collette learned a few things from this amazing mentor and now designs flowers for weddings and events herself.
